Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had numerous talents, including being able perform, direct and produce plays, as well as write them as well as teach and serve as Director of Drama for St. Thomas University. Anna Silk's dad is from Britain, as is her mother is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. She remembers watching her mother perform in play rehearsals. While still a small child, she was featured in various commercials. Anna moved to Toronto in November of 1999, in order to continue her acting career. She eventually settled down at Los Angeles (California) over the following decade. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007. The couple got engaged in the year 2009. Anna became a Jew at the age of 11, after having converted to Judaism. They were married civilly in December of the same year, and they then renewed their vows at an Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton, in April 2011. Bo and Lauren's love story (played Zoie Palmer by Bo) is featured on CNN's all-time favorite television couples list. They also were named by E! as the top couple on TV in 2013.
