Jimmy Donaldson (born May 7, 1998) popularly referred to as MrBeast is an American YouTube personality an entrepreneur, philanthropist and entrepreneur. [6] He is credited for establishing the YouTube video genre that focuses on extravagant stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson was just 13 when began uploading videos to YouTube under the username "MrBeast6000". His first content consisted of "Let's Plays" and "videos estimating wealth of other YouTubers." In 2017, he became a viral sensation following his "counting to 100,000" video earned tens of thousands of views in just a few days. He has become increasingly popular since then, with many of his videos gaining thousands of views.Over time his style of content diversified to include challenge and donation videos that award millions of dollars, video with arduous tasks or challenges to survive as well as original vlogs. Once his channel took off, Donaldson hired several of his former classmates to assist him in running the growing business. The MrBeast channel was 60 strong by 2022. It had reached 100 million subscribers on July 28th, 2022.
